Why use us?
We pride ourselves on giving excellent customer service. Our company is locally owned by Richard Griffith, an army veteran and his wife Kayla Griffith, a pediatric nurse with a passion for volunteering. We are also foster parents. We value those that put others first and want to recognize you for your service. We provide affordable dumpsters to residential and commercial clients and offer a special “Public Service Discount” that many people qualify for. We protect your driveway using plywood boards under the dumpster so it never touches your driveway. We also sweep up after every job.
Who qualifies for the public service discount?
Anyone working in healthcare, education, firefighters, police, EMS, paramedics, active military, veterans, and other first responders. Unsure if you qualify? Send us a message regarding where you work and we will let you know. Please be prepared to show proof of your position to qualify for the pricing or you will be charged the difference upon pickup.
What can/cannot go into a dumpster?
Our dumpsters accept most everyday waste. Common household debris and construction debris (aside from heavy items such as shingles or concrete) are able to be placed in our dumpsters. Restricted items include:
-
Adhesives (can damage the container and may cause debris to stick together or to the walls)
-
Car batteries and lithium batteries (they leak harmful chemicals)
-
Fluorescent light bulbs (contains small amounts of mercury)
-
Food waste (can attract rodents and make a mess of the dumpster- small amounts are ok to dispose of)
-
Freon (refrigerators, freezers, AC units unless the Freon is removed by a professional)
-
Hot water tanks (contain harmful gases that carry a high risk of exploding)
-
Household cleaners
-
Ink and Resins (stains the interior of dumpsters)
-
Oils, Fuels and Propane tanks (safety hazards and highly combustible)
-
Full or partially full cans of wet paint (stains the inside of the dumpster)
-
Railroad ties and telephone poles (they are treated with harmful wood preservatives)
-
Tires (they trap gases and take a long time to decompose)
-
Hazardous Waste
-
Deceased animals
What happens if I dispose of a prohibited item?
We may not be able to pick up the dumpster until it is removed which will result in an additional fee. If we do pick up the dumpster without knowing about the item, the landfill may charge a disposal fee when your load is dumped and sorted. This additional cost will be invoiced to you.
Will the dumpsters have a weight limit?
Yes. All dumpsters include up to 2 tons of debris. If you are over this, you will be charged $65/ton (prorated) with a copy of the weigh ticket. If you are significantly over, you may need to be charged for a different truck to pick up the bin.
Will the dumpster damage my driveway?
We will lay down plywood boards under the dumpster to ensure the dumpster does not directly touch your driveway. We will also sweep up after the dumpster removal.
Do I need to be home?
You do not need to be home for drop off or pickup. Be sure the area you want the dumpster placed is kept open for us.
What else should I know?
All items must be completely inside the dumpster with nothing hanging over or off the side
Overloaded materials may have to be unloaded to ensure proper tarping for safe travel
You are responsible for the safety of yourself as well as others around you and any damages to the equipment exceeding normal wear and tear.
